About Us

At Blackgeeks, we are on a mission to spread knowledge, preserve history and celebrate excellence. We strive to represent Nigeria and majority of Nigerians by showcasing the not-as-seen vibrant side of this country. It is wisely said that “The river that forgets its source will dry up,” we simply do not want to be that river.

That is why everyday we push out blogs, articles and notes about Nigeria and Nigerians who have beat the odds. As you read on, kindly pay attention to the links embedded, they are there to guide you.

At Blackgeeks, We acknowledge that the socio-economic issues we face in Nigeria can change many things, but it can’t change our people or history. As Nigerians, mediocrity is not in our dictionary. If things are not working out, we double our hustle and pray. We are beautiful—in manners and attire.

And if we have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants—our heroes and heroines. The likes of Tafawa, Ransome-Kuti, Dele Giwa, Okonjo-Iweala, and Yekini, to mention a few.

From the Ikogosi Springs to the Aso Rock, we have a whole lot of natural wonders. Let’s not talk about delicacies, because even Ghana knows whose Jollof rice tastes better. We are rich in livestock and green vegetation.

Home to Tobi Amusan and Tunde Onakoya, we are Guinness World Record holders. We have fun too—on the football pitch, we have the dancing Okocha. Call us to the ring, and we’ll bring along AJ. Never caught in the corner, that’s why they call us “The Giant of Africa”—the biggest Black nation in the world!

Blackgeeks Nigeria is a work in progress. By 2027, we hope to have become #1 source of information about Nigeria and amazing Nigerians. You can become a part of our mission by contributing an article by pitching us at admin@blackgeeks.com.ng or showing us some love.
